Unikkaarvik Visitor’s Centre featured documentaries

The Unikkaarvik Visitor’s Centre presents a series of documentaries on Nunavut and Nunavummiut. Join us at building 220 in Iqaluit every Thursday in August at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, and popcorn and drinks are provided.

August 16, 2018

  •  Passage: Sir John Franklin’s failed expedition through the Northwest Passage.

August 23, 2018

  •  Vanishing Point: chronicling life in two Arctic communities linked by a historic migration from Baffin Island to Greenland led by a Baffin Island Shaman in 1860.

August 30, 2018

  •  People of a Feather: award winning documentary on climate change and the Inuit connection to the eider duck and its down. Filmed in Sanikiluaq.
