Premier announces changes to ministerial portfolios

Iqaluit, Nunavut (November 8, 2018) – Premier Joe Savikataaq today announced that Minister Patterk Netser will assume the Nunavut Housing Corporation and Nunavut Arctic College portfolios, effective tomorrow.

“Earlier this week, we swore-in our newest member of the executive council. After seeing Mr. Netser’s abilities and interests, I am confident these assignments are a good fit for cabinet,” said Premier Savikataaq.

In addition, Minister Jeannie Ehaloak will retain the Qulliq Energy Corporation file, while Premier Savikataaq will take on responsibility as Minister of Environment.

“There is important work to be done across all departments and agencies, and I want to ensure we continue momentum on our work to realize the goals laid out in Turaaqtavut,” said Premier Savikataaq. “I’d like to extend thanks to all members of the

Legislative Assembly for their passion and hard work during this session. On behalf of the executive council, I welcome Minister Netser to the team,” added Premier Savikataaq.
