Parks Day Sylvia Grinell 2019

Step away from your computer, televisions and smart phones and spend a day exploring and enjoying all that Nunavut Parks have to offer! Parks day in Iqaluit will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Sylvia Grinnell Park.

There will be a free bus shuttle running from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for anybody interested in participating in the events. Join us for a BBQ, traditional story-telling, tea, bone games, and activities for children and youth.

Parks Day is an annual celebration that takes place on the third week of July across Canada to promote healthy outdoor living. Other Parks Day events will be held in Kimmirut, Iqaluit, Rankin Inlet, Cambridge Bay, and Kugluktuk.
