Member vacancy - Utility Rates Review Council (URRC)

February 2, 2023 (Iqaluit, Nunavut) - The Nunavut Utility Rates Review Council (URRC) reviews applications from public utilities operating in Nunavut about rates and rate structure. The URRC mandate includes such matters as long-term debt, capital expenditures, and interim rates.

The Government of Nunavut is committed to creating a representative workforce; priority will be given to Nunavut Inuit who self-identify as being enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.

The URRC is seeking candidates to serve as a council member; we are looking for council members that:

  • Have business and regulatory background that would prove to be an asset to the council’s operations.
  • Can commit the time to attend hearings, devote the time necessary to study and evaluate the matters brought before the council.
  • More information can be found on the URRC website, including both the advertisement and a description of duties of council members at http://www.urrc.gov.nu.ca.

This is an extension to the previous advertisement for members that ran from October 1 to December 1, 2023. This call out for members will run until a suitable candidate is found. There is no deadline.
