Land referendum consultations 

Nunavummiut will vote in a territory-wide land referendum on May 9, 2016, in accordance with the Nunavut Lands Claim Agreement. 

Your vote is important! Consultations will take place so that you can learn more and ask questions about this referendum. 

Upcoming consultations will take place from 7-10 p.m., in the following communities: 

  • Coral Harbour on March 15, at the Sakku School gymnasium 
  • Arctic Bay on March 15, at the community hall 
  • Resolute Bay, on March 16, at the community hall 
  • Grise Fiord, on March 17, at the community hall 
  • Naujaat, on March 17, at the Tusarvik School gymnasium 
  • Baker Lake, on March 22, at the community hall 
  • Iqaluit, on March 23, at the Frobisher Inn, Koojesse Room 
  • Sanikiluaq, on March 29, at the community hall 
  • Whale Cove, on March 31, at the community hall
