Instruction booklets available for SPOT Devices signed out in Nunavut

Nunavut Emergency Management reminds Nunavummiut that information booklets are available with all Gen 3 SPOT satellite GPS messenger units being signed out from local hamlet offices and wildlife offices across the territory.

Instruction booklets outline all functions of SPOT devices, are available in Inuktitut, English, Inuinnaqtun and French and can be requested when signing out SPOT devices.

SPOT devices are available free of charge and provide users a line of communication when travelling in areas with no cell service and can provide emergency responders a GPS location in case of emergency.

For more information, please contact your local search and rescue organization.
