Food recalls due to Salmonella
The Department of Health is warning about a food recall issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) due to possible Salmonella contamination on the following products: Harvest Sweet, Sweet 2 Eat, Sweet O, Prima, Sweet Value, Wawona, Wegmans and Extra Fresh – Peaches. All sizes, including bulk, of all products imported since June 1, 2020 have been recalled. Peaches that are marked “Product of Canada” are not affected.
This recalled product should be thrown out or returned to the location where it was purchased.

Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still cause sickness. Short-term symptoms can include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Young children, pregnant women, Elders and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections. If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, call your local health centre.
