Food recall update: President’s Choice (PC) Organics brand baby food pouches

February 10, 2017

Nunavut

The Department of Health advises that additional President’s Choice (PC) baby food products have been recalled because they may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum. For a complete list of products please visit the recall warning on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency website.

Food contaminated with Clostridium botulinum toxin may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, blurred or double vision, dry mouth, respiratory failure and paralysis. In severe cases of illness, people may die.

For more information, contact the Canadian Food Inspection Agency at 1-800-442-2342 or visit www.inspection.gc.ca.
