Department of Justice now accepting applications for victims assistance funding
The Department of Justice is accepting applications for funding from the Victims Assistance Fund. This fund supports community-based projects and activities that provide services and assistance to victims of crime.
Funding can provide training opportunities to inform community workers about the needs and circumstances of victims of crime. Funding can also help victims through crisis response, personal support, follow-up assistance and distribution of referral materials and information.
The Victim Assistance Fund strives to increase public awareness and provide information on the rights and responsibilities of victims, the criminal justice system and available victim support services.
For more information and application forms, please contact Rebecca Jones at 867-975-6308 or by email at @email.
The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, May 29, 2015.
