Council of the Federation Award for Innovation in Mental Health and Addictions Care

The Department of Health is calling for nominations for the Council of the Federation Award for Innovation in Mental Health and Addictions Care.

The award, which is valued at $5,000, recognizes and supports individuals and organizations excelling in the field of mental health and addictions care. The aim is to reward achievement and innovation and encourage others in the field to be innovative in their work. The award’s objective is to highlight innovation in non-governmental, private, and academic sectors.

If you wish to nominate an individual or organization for this award, you must complete an application package consisting of the following documents or materials:

  • A nomination cover sheet or form.
  • A biography of the individual or team members leading the initiative, project, study or program (up to one page each).
  • A description of the initiative, project, study or program (up to two pages).
  • A description of the anticipated or actual outcomes/successes/achievements (up to one page).
  • A description of how the initiative, project, study or program embraces innovation (up to two pages).
  • Any existing multimedia or scanned print products that describe or support the initiative, project, study or program (optional).
