Cannabis Retailers in Nunavut

The Government of Nunavut is inviting local entrepreneurs to apply to become a cannabis retailer in the territory. Cannabis retailers support the local economy and provide jobs to community members. There is no deadline for applications.

There are three types of cannabis stores: online stores, physical stores, and integrated stores. Integrated stores do not require a separate commercial space or building if business owners already have an existing commercial space. Here, customers aged 19 and above can purchase cannabis at a specific checkout counter, window, or kiosk. All licensed cannabis retailers must meet regulatory requirements as outlined in Nunavut’s cannabis legislation.

Local and regulated cannabis retailers in Nunavut help to provide safer and legal recreational cannabis to Nunavummiut aged 19 and up. This combats the illegal market and protects Nunavut’s youth.
