Beer and wine store public consultation

Start Date: September 19, 2014

End Date: October 7, 2014

Iqaluit, NU 45 sec

The Government of Nunavut is holding a public consultation at the Baffin Room at the Frobisher Inn in Iqaluit, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on October 7, to discuss the possible opening of the territory’s first beer and wine store.

The Nunavut Liquor Commission is considering a change to the way it sells alcohol in Nunavut, specifically to move forward with direct beer and wine sales. However, a retail outlet would open only after public consultation and with community support. Iqalummiut are encouraged to attend the public consultation and get involved in this key decision.
