Be safe this holiday season: Don’t drink and drive

This holiday season, be safe. If you drink, don’t drive! Decide ahead of time how to get home safely: take a taxi, designate a responsible driver, or find another safe way home.

The Nunavut Liquor and Cannabis Commission will be passing out taxi coupons in Iqaluit, Rankin Inlet and Cambridge Bay during the holiday season. Look for these at licensed establishments and RCMP check stops. In Iqaluit, taxi coupons will also be distributed at the Iqaluit NULC Store.

This initiative complements Let’s Be Aware / Ujjiqsuqta, the Nunavut Liquor and Cannabis Commission’s responsible use of alcohol campaign. It aims to reduce the harms related to alcohol across the territory.
