Deadline extended for 2015 Sport Awards and 2016 AWG mission staff applications

The deadline to submit nominations for the 2015 Sport Awards and applications to become part of the 2016 Arctic Winter Games mission staff has been extended to June 12, 2015.

The 2015 Sport Awards recognize the accomplishments and contributions of Nunavut athletes, coaches, officials, teams and volunteers in categories such as Athlete of the Year, Team of the Year and Coach of the Year. Territorial sport and recreation organizations, hamlet councils, non-profit organizations and individuals are invited to submit nominations for the 2015 Sport Awards.

Team Nunavut is looking for individuals to become members of its mission staff at the 2016 Arctic Winter Games in Nuuk, Greenland. Mission staff provides logistical support and assistance to athletes leading up to and during the Games to ensure a successful team performance.
