Commercial Vehicle Registration in Nunavut

Commercial vehicles on a public roadway in Nunavut must have valid insurance and a Vehicle Registration Certificate. A commercial vehicle transports people or goods and is not used only as a private passenger vehicle.

Commercial vehicle registration should be renewed annually before the expiry date.

How to register your commercial vehicle

To register a commercial vehicle, visit your local Motor Vehicle service provider with the following documentation:

If you are registering a commercial vehicle from out-of-territory, additional documentation may be required. Application forms can be completed in advance or in person at your local Motor Vehicle service provider.
