Volunteers needed for 2016 Arctic Winter Games

Arctic Winter Games hockey is coming to Iqaluit, March 6 to 10, 2016. The 2016 Arctic Winter Games host society is looking for 300 volunteers in Iqaluit to help make the Games a success.

Volunteers are needed for many roles in Iqaluit, including:

 scorekeepers, timekeepers, ticketing and concessions;

 equipment handling and bus stop attendants;

 visitor greeting and information;

 promotion and public relations (e.g. mascots and signage);

 first aid;

 venue set up and supervision.

Volunteers must be 13 or older. Volunteers who complete the required 20 hours between February 29 and March 16, 2016, will receive an official AWG volunteer uniform, a certificate of appreciation and be invited to attend a volunteer appreciation event.
