Premier announces senior management changes
Iqaluit, Nunavut (March 26, 2021) – Premier Joe Savikataaq today announced changes to the Government of Nunavut’s senior management team.
Effective May 1, 2021, Colleen Stockley becomes Deputy Minister of Health. Ms. Stockley previously held the role from 2014-2019, and brings a wealth of experience in health administration and management.
Effective April 19, 2021, Kyle Seeley becomes Deputy Minister of Community and Government Services. Mr. Seeley has worked in the Department for over 17 years, and previously acted as the Assistant Deputy Minister of Community Government for close to two years.
“I am excited to welcome Ms. Stockley back to Nunavut and I know her knowledge and abilities will benefit our territory as we continue to navigate the COVID pandemic with the long-term needs of all Nunavummiut,” said Premier Savikataaq. “Mr. Seeley has been invaluable in his work with our municipalities, especially over the past year, and I am confident he will take over the role with great enthusiasm and skill.”
Current Deputy Minister of Health Ruby Brown leaves her position on April 11, 2021, while current Deputy Minister of Community and Government Services Constance Hourie departs her role on April 16, 2021.
