Nunavut Labour Standards Board seeking members

Do you have experience and/or knowledge in labour or business, comprehension of legal issues and the ability to write clearly and concisely?

The Nunavut Labour Standards Board (NLSB) is currently looking for members. The Board is an administrative tribunal, established under the Labour Standards Act for appeals by either the employer or employee, on decisions of the Labour Standards Compliance Officer.

Oral and written fluency in English is essential, with oral and written fluency in Inuktitut, Inuinnaqtun, and/or French is considered an asset. Priority will be given to Nunavut residents.

Members devote 5 to 15 hours every 4 months to attend Board activities such as reviewing appeals, writing decisions and conducting hearings. Training will be provided and members of the Board will be paid for the days when their services are required.

Deadline for submissions is May 30, 2018. Send your resumé, criminal record check and the names of three references to:
