Debt collection practices: statutory holidays

The Department of Community and Government Services’ Consumer Affairs division reminds Nunavummiut that under the Consumer Protection Regulations, unless requested, debt collection is prohibited on Sundays before 1 p.m. and after 5 p.m., any other day between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., and on holidays.
