Community Justice Program

Drawing from Inuit Societal Values principles, the Community Justice Program provides support to Nunavummiut experiencing family abuse through the delivery of Family Abuse Intervention Act; and works in conjunction with Justice Committees to deliver Restorative Justice offender diversion. The Community Justice program provides support services for victims of crime, including the development of policies and guidelines for the Victims Assistance Committee, and assists community groups in their application for funding. Additionally, the Community Justice program is responsible for the administration of Victims Assistance Fund (VAF), providing support services to victims of crime and facilitating the work of the Victims Assistance Committee (VAC).
