End Date: June 12, 2014

Iqaluit, NU 30 sec

Iqaluit’s annual community cleanup is on Friday, June 13! Residents who want to participate can meet outside the Unikkaarvik Visitor’s Centre or Nanook school in Apex to receive cleanup supplies from 9 a.m. to noon.

A barbecue will follow from noon to1 p.m. at the Unikkaarvik Visitor’s Center for all cleanup volunteers. Beverage cups will not be provided, so please bring your own. Prizes will be drawn for volunteers during the barbecue.

Cleanup volunteers across Nunavut can win a pair of Canadian North tickets. There are two tickets for each region: North Baffin, South Baffin, Kitikmeot and Kivalliq. These draws will take place Friday, August 1, 2014.

There will be a cleanup in every community across the territory. Please contact your local hamlet office for your community cleanup date.
