Diagnostic Imaging Clerk/Scheduler

The Qikiqtani General Hospital (QGH) is a 20 inpatient bed facility located in Iqaluit, and is the diagnostic imaging referral center for the Baffin region.  QGH provides health care services to adults and children on an inpatient/outpatient basis in order to restore health with dignity. Located within the Department of Health and reporting directly to the Manager Diagnostic Imaging, the incumbent works with Ultrasound, Mammography and CT patients and physicians, scheduling and communicating appointment dates and times.

Audiologist

Reporting to the Qikiqtani Rehabilitation Services Manager, the Audiologist is the sole practitioner of Audiology services in the Baffin Region. The incumbent would plan, develop, organize, deliver and evaluate audiology services to all residents of the Baffin Region in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. This Audiologist will have an enormous impact on the hearing status of Baffin residents by providing specialized audiological assessment, diagnosis and intervention for individuals with hearing loss.

Audiologist

Reporting to the Qikiqtani Rehabilitation Services Manager, the Audiologist is the sole practitioner of Audiology services in the Baffin Region. The incumbent would plan, develop, organize, deliver and evaluate audiology services to all residents of the Baffin Region in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. This Audiologist will have an enormous impact on the hearing status of Baffin residents by providing specialized audiological assessment, diagnosis and intervention for individuals with hearing loss.

Addictions Treatment Specialist

Reporting to the Territorial Director, Mental Health and Addictions, the Addictions Treatment Specialist ensures that community school-based addictions capacity development is integrated within the continuum of mental health and addictions services and supports the approved mental health and addictions framework, the Nunavut Suicide Prevention Strategy and other relevant strategies.

Medical Clerk Interpreter – Emergency Department

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, Emergency Department, the Medical Clerk Interpreter will provide Inuktitut and English translation (both written and oral)  between patients, medical and nursing staff, laboratory and radiology technicians, pharmacy staff, physiotherapists, other staff of the hospital, relatives and other visitors.  The incumbent will assist medical and nursing staff in the care of patients directly or indirectly.

Purchasing Agent

Reporting to the Manager Support Services, the incumbent coordinates and administers all procurement and acquisition activities and purchasing programs. The incumbent will manage the materials and assets requirements in the Kivalliq Region and will ensure there are standardized procedures, practices and policies related to procurement and acquisition, storage, safekeeping and that all GN regulations, directives, financial accounting and procedures are in compliance.
