Senior Instructor, Fur Production and Design - Re-Advertisement

Reporting to the Chair, Inuit Languages and Cultural Programs, the Senior Instructor, Fur Production and Design will provide educational leadership and will administer the Fur Production and Design program of the College.

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is entrusted to provide safe, reliable power to all customers in Nunavut.  Owned by the Government of Nunavut and operated as an arms-length territorial corporation, QEC is the sole provider of electricity and district heating in Nunavut.   In comparison to other utilities in Canada, QEC faces unique challenges as it operates 25 stand-alone diesel power generation facilities and distribution systems located in each of the territory’s communities.

Located in Cambridge Bay, Igloolik and Rankin Inlet and reporting to the Director, Regional Operations, the Regional Manager, Staffing is responsible for managing staff, developing and implementing strategies to help improve the staffing process and ensuring a high level of service delivery.

Human Resources Coordinator

Reporting to the Manger, Human Resources & Organizational Development, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible to provide Human Resources (HR) support services to the Nunavut Housing Corporation (NHC) in the areas of leave and attendance,  pay and benefits, health and safety, records management and employee training. The position provides support, advice and recommendations to management and employees to effectively deliver human resources policies & practices. 

Executive Legal Officer

Reporting to the Senior Judge and reports for administrative purposes to the Director of Court Services, The Executive Legal Officer acts as advisor to the Senior Judge and is the chief legal officer for the Office of the Senior Judge of Nunavut and acts as in-house counsel doing legal research drafting memorandums of law, and drafting policy on issues related to the administration of justice and cases being pleaded before the Nunavut Court of Justice.
