Support services are available to help you and your families, and guide you to new employment and training opportunities.
Training courses by your territorial government and related agencies will help you gain skills for work in fisheries and marine industries, trades and technology, administration and management, healthcare and education, to name a few.
Some of these programs offer financial support during training. Nunavut Arctic College, and fisheries and marine training programs even offer job placement upon completion.

The Government of Canada provides Employment Insurance (EI) benefits to individuals who lose their jobs through no fault of their own (for example, due to shortage of work, seasonal or mass lay-offs) and are available for and able to work, but can't find a job. |
