Call for proposals, Targeted Labour Market Program

The Department of Family Services is now accepting proposals for targeted employment and training programs to be delivered in the 2021-2022 fiscal year, starting any time after April 1, 2021. The application deadline is February 26, 2021.

Training providers, including non-profit organizations and institutions, municipal corporations, Inuit organizations and Nunavut-based businesses, may apply for funding to deliver programs. Priority will be given to the following types of programs:

  • training and employment programs for persons living with a disability;
  • training and employment programs for out-of-school youth aged 15-30;
  • mining sector training;
  • supervisory and management training;
  • employment readiness;
  • programs that propose to deliver training in smaller communities outside of regional hubs; and
  • programming proposed to be offered in Inuktut.
