Family Literacy Day 2021

Wednesday, January 27, is Family Literacy Day. This year’s theme is Travel the World Together!

Family Literacy Day is celebrated each year to raise awareness of the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family, to strengthen family relationships and help improve literacy skills.

The Department of Education encourages families to take time today to read, write, share stories, and learn about people, places, and cultures from around the world.

Join the Department of Education and support Family Literacy Day by exploring the literacy resources on the department’s Angirrami Ilinniarniq website, https://angirrami.com/, or by visiting https://abclifeliteracy.ca/all-programs/family-literacy-day/ for other ideas and activities.
