Taloyoak Justice Committee seeking members

Do you have knowledge and experience in dealing with social issues, restorative justice and Inuit societal values? Interested in helping victims and offenders? The Taloyoak Justice Committee is looking for community members.

Justice committees in Nunavut use a community-based justice approach to assist victims of crime and work with people who have caused harm by committing an offence.

Committee members are volunteers and receive honoraria for attending meetings. Training will be provided.

If you are interested, please submit your resume and criminal record check to Andrea Aiyout, Taloyoak’s Community Justice Outreach Worker, at @email. For more information, call 867-561-5331 ext. 6.

Deadline for submission is June 27, 2019.
