Naujaat Justice Committee seeking members

Do you have knowledge and experience in dealing with social issues, restorative justice and Inuit societal values? Interested in helping victims and offenders? The Naujaanit Ikajuqtiit Katimajingit (Naujaat Justice Committee) is looking for members.

Justice committees in Nunavut use a community-based justice approach to assist victims of crime and work with people who have caused harm by committing an offence.

Training on members’ roles and responsibilities will be provided. Committee members are volunteer positions and receive an honorarium for attending meetings.

If you are interested, please submit your resumé and criminal record check to Naujaat Community Justice Outreach Worker, Victoria Tagornak, rbjustice@qiniq.com. For more information, please contact Victoria by email or at 867-462-4007.

Deadline for submission is April 25, 2018.
