Launch of video to understand Nunavut’s court process

Victims, complainants and witnesses now have access to a video to help them understand Nunavut’s court process.

The video is an educational tool to learn how the criminal justice system works, and is valuable for support workers who explain the court process to victims.

The video, released in all official languages, is a collaboration between the Nunavut Law Society’s Access to Justice Program and the Department of Justice’s Community Justice division. The initiative is also supported by the Nunavut Law Foundation, the Nunavut Court of Justice and many volunteers.

The video will be distributed to community justice workers in each community. You can also get copies by emailing victimservices@gov.nu.ca or calling 1-866-456-5216.
