Community consultations on new Corrections Act

The Government of Nunavut is holding public consultations on a new, made-in-Nunavut Corrections Act.
The new legislation will take into consideration the unique needs of Nunavummiut and the need for the safe reintegration of inmates into their home communities.
Community consultations are being held in the following communities:
- Cape Dorset on August 31, at the community hall at 7 p.m.
- Iqaluit on September 6, at the Anglican parish hall at 7 p.m.
- Rankin Inlet on September 11, at the community hall at 7 p.m.
- Cambridge Bay on September 15, at the Elders’ Palace at 7 p.m.
- Kugluktuk on September 18, at the community hall at 7 p.m.
