Call for proposals – Crime Prevention Fund
The Department of Justice, through the Nunavut Crime Prevention Fund, is now accepting proposals for community-based projects that promote community safety and well-being.
These initiatives and/or projects are to be delivered in the 2023-24 fiscal year and can begin anytime after April 1, 2023. Applicants may apply for up to $10,000 in funding.
Community-based non-profit organizations, local governments and municipal/regional corporations may apply for funding. Government of Nunavut employees may apply if they have an agreement with another organization to handle the financial aspect of the program.
The funding is intended for projects that promote:
Inuit culture and traditional knowledge.
Personal development, such as training and educational opportunities.
Safe and supportive environments to nurture social and emotional development.
Mental health and wellness.
Community safety.

The application deadline is June 30, 2023. Successful applicants will receive notices of approval by mid-August.
