Facility Management Clerk
As per HRM Directive 518, this employment opportunity is restricted to Nunavut Inuit in Iqaluit only.
Reporting to the Iqaluit Facilities Manager, the Facility Management Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate, effective and timely data entry functions into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CCMS) and various tracking spreadsheets. This would include payments and commitments for such regional programs as maintenance, leasing of buildings, vehicle maintenance, administration, secretarial activities and contracted administration for vendors. This position is also responsible for designing the various spreadsheets that they use for communication purposes. The incumbent will be required to explain service requests in Inuktitut to contractors and staff to ensure the required work is understood. The Facility Management Clerk will be providing secretarial support as well to all senior staff in the division. The Clerk is the first point of contact by staff, clients and contractors concerning maintenance issues. This position plays a vital reporting role by monitoring all maintenance activity entered into CMMS.
The successful candidate should have completed Grade 12 and have two (2) years of office administration experience. The ability to make translations (non-legal) will be considered an asset.
The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktitut, Inuinnaqtun, English and French. Proficiency in both English and Inuktitut is required for this position.
Knowledge of Inuit language, communities, culture, land and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit is an asset.
Equivalencies that consist of an acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered.
