Building High Performance Virtual Teams

The  “Building High-Performance Virtual Teams” course focuses on providing tools and strategies to develop and sustain high-performing virtual work teams. Workplace statistics indicate that many employees consider virtual communication less productive than face-to-face interaction. Additionally, employee comments identified online collaborations as “confusing and overwhelming” Recent research proves that well-managed virtual teams can outperform those that share an office space, where virtual teams have the opportunity to improve employee productivity.

 

This course will focus on providing participants with the following content related to building high-performance virtual teams:

  • Effective online communication tools and strategies
  • Resources to support building and maintaining emotional intelligence and resilience
  • Activities and discussions to identify and navigate challenges and barriers to virtual teamwork
  • Identification of goals for maintaining and increasing work performance
  • Tools and resources to support healthy virtual work culture, work values, and practices
  • Development of team norms for virtual teams
  • Tools, techniques, and resources to thrive in a remote work environment
