Reminder: COVID-19 Hotline closing on January 31
The Government of Nunavut (GN) would like to remind Nunavummiut that the COVID-19 hotline will no longer be available beginning January 31, 2023. The hotline was one of several measures put in place to support Nunavut’s COVID-19 pandemic response.
The decision to close the hotline is due to a decline in calls. After January 31, 2023, if you have questions about COVID-19 or eligibility for treatment of COVID-19, please visit the GN’s COVID-19 webpage or contact your local health centre or public health unit.
COVID-19 is still a concern, and active in the territory. Continue to protect yourself and those around you by getting vaccinated and boosted, practising respiratory etiquette, hand hygiene, social distancing and wearing masks in health care facilities. Everyone who is eligible and is not up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccines can call their local health centre or public health unit to get their vaccinations.
Vaccines are available across Nunavut to all Nunavummiut over the age of six months. Call your health centre or Public Health Unit to make an appointment. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccine, visit the GN’s vaccination webpage.
