Restricted and Prohibited Communities

 

Communities in Nunavut have the right to determine the level of liquor restriction in their community. Some have prohibited or restricted liquor systems beyond what is outlined in the Liquor Act. Alcohol system restrictions can be changed through a plebiscite.
