Inuugatiqiinniq: Wellbeing and Leadership workshop

As part of Uqausirmut Quviasuutiqarniq – celebration of Inuktut Language Month, the Department of Culture and Heritage and the Department of Human Resources invite you to the Inuugatiqiinniq: Wellbeing and Leadership workshop on February 27 and 28, 2020 in the Koojesse Room (North), Frobisher Inn in Iqaluit. This gathering will be conducted in Inuktut and will focus on Inuit practices, knowledge, and values. Elders Kigutikakjuk Shappa (Arctic Bay), Miriam Nilaulaaq Aglukkaq (Gjoa Haven) and Martha Tikivik (Iqaluit) will share aspects of Inuit law around wellbeing, Inuit perspectives on leadership, and about Inuit history. Participants will also explore Iviqtippalliajut: In the Process of Falling into Place and its implementation in the workplace. This framework is the guide for the incorporation of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ), and Inuit Societal Values (ISV) in the workplace. Interpretation will be provided. Registration is limited to 50 participants on a first come first serve basis.
