Prospecting Course in Iqaluit

Are you interested in prospecting? Do you want to learn to become a prospector in Nunavut? The Department of Economic Development and Transportation (EDT) is offering an Introduction to Prospecting Course in Iqaluit. This is a six-day course that is free and open to the public.

Eligible applicants must be 18 years or older and a resident of Nunavut.

The course will take place at the Franco Centre, Building 981 from August 26 to 31, 2024. Monday to Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To register, please email [email protected] with the email subject “Registration for Introduction to Prospecting Course” and include your full name and mailing address. No prior knowledge of geology or prospecting is required. All Iqalummiut are welcome to register.
