National Do Not Call List Registry

Last updated Wednesday, December 11, 2024

The Department of Community and Government Services’ Consumer Affairs division is advising Nunavummiut to be aware that phone scams and telemarketing phone calls are on the rise during the holiday season.

Nunavummiut can reduce unsolicited calls and the chances of falling victim to potential scams by registering their residential and cell phone numbers on the National Do Not Call List through the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission on the Government of Canada’s website

If you’re unsure about a call, don’t hesitate to end it. Consult with a trusted friend or family member before taking any action. It's wise to be cautious.
