Maintenance Management Specialist

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Nunavut Field Operations, the Maintenance Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the Petroleum Products Division (PPD) Operations and its Preventative Maintenance Program. The Petroleum Products Division (PPD) manages the storage and distribution of up to 200 million liters of petroleum annually, including Jet A fuel, home heating fuel, diesel and gasoline for the territory.
Key responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

Developing an ongoing preventative maintenance management program for PPD capital assets by developing and maintaining monthly and creating monthly reports

Working to develop and maintain an updated procedures manual to orient field staff on maintenance management procedures

Implementing a comprehensive maintenance management program for PPD by collaborating with management leads of PPD to schedule and complete annual maintenance activities

Troubleshooting any atypical maintenance problem that is outside the maintenance management program
The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job are usually obtained through a Diploma in engineering technology or related field or completion of a 2-year trade apprenticeship with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience. Spill prevention, control and response training or a similar certification is considered an asset.
The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English and French. Applicants may submit their resume in any of the official languages of Nunavut. Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land,Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment are also considered assets.
