Travel Immunization

Nunavummiut traveling outside the country are encouraged to get vaccinated against common infections that threaten travellers. The vaccines offered vary depending on the country you plan to visit. Please note that you may need to pay to receive required travel vaccinations.

Immunization costs required for travel are not covered by the Nunavut Health Care Plan. Some vaccines required for travel may be covered by an employer or independent health insurance company. Contact your community health centre for more information on this.
