Supporting Nunavut’s communities by providing tools, education and fostering self reliance.

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT

  • We drive community investment, acknowledging local leaders who strengthen capacity.
  • Initiatives such as sewing groups, food security projects, and youth hunter groups demonstrate our commitment to fostering independence and reducing dependency.

ENCOURAGING SELF-SUFFICIENCY

  • We prioritize training rooted in traditional knowledge and resilience to foster self-reliance in every community member.
  • Our support includes creating conducive environments for community growth, supported by accessible funding.

Partners in Progress

As qanuqtuurniq means being innovative and resourceful, we are collaborating with organizations like the Qulliit Nunavut Status of Women Council and the Nunavummi Disabilities Makinnasuaqtiit Society, through grants and contributions. We empower Nunavummiut through initiatives like Youth Initiative Funding (YIF), and the Women and Girls’ and Men and Boys’ Initiatives Grants.

Benefits Across Generations

By fostering community growth, we create a legacy for younger generations. These efforts enhance child protection, adoption services, and education.

A United Front for Wellness

Our initiatives focus on resilience, recovery, and preventing violence, with special attention to gender-based issues. Together, we promote community health and wellness for generations.
