Dental Program Support Clerk

This employment opportunity is restricted to Nunavut Inuit who reside in Cambridge Bay only.

Reporting to the Regional Dental Coordinator, the Dental Program Support Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to the dental service division in accordance with GN policies and procedures, current NIHB agreement; current contracts with the services providers; to ensure smooth operation and facilitation of Dental services. 

The Dental Program Support Clerk is responsible for managing office procedures and overseeing operational factors to ensure smooth functioning of the Dental Program; developing and maintaining office filing system; handles all incoming and outgoing mail and facsimile transmissions. 

The knowledge, skills, and abilities would be typically acquired through a High School Diploma and one year experience working in an office environment.

This is a Highly Sensitive Position and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, along with a clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required.

The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English and French. Applicants may submit their resume in any of the official languages of Nunavut. Fluency in more than one of Nunavut’s official languages would be considered an asset. Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land,Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment are also considered assets.
