Grants and Contributions for Heritage

The Department of Culture and Heritage provides funding to non-profit community-based organizations and municipal corporations for the development and/or renovation of heritage facilities or relevant associated equipment. This program helps to ensure that communities across Nunavut have access to well-maintained facilities that enable Nunavummiut to engage with their culture and heritage. Supported facilities include, but are not limited to, museums, art centres, and performance spaces.

The department also provides contributions to non-profit organizations and municipalities for the operation of community heritage centres in Nunavut. Supported organizations include museums, societies, and municipalities.

For more information and assistance with the Grants and Contributions application process contact: [email protected] or call 975-5500 or 1-866-934-2035 and ask to speak to a Grants and Contributions administrator.
