Premier Peter Taptuna congratulates new federal ministers

Premier Peter Taptuna released the following statement:
"I would like to extend congratulations to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his newly appointed cabinet.
Specifically, I commend Nunavut’s member of Parliament Hunter Tootoo on his appointment as Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, and Minister responsible for the North.
I look forward to working closely with our member of Parliament on Nunavut’s priorities to ensure our territory’s continued growth and prosperity.
I would also like to congratulate Carolyn Bennett on her appointment as Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs.
I am eager to begin our work together and foster a strong relationship that benefits Nunavut and the North."
