The Qikiqtani General Hospital (QGH) is a 20 inpatient bed facility located in Iqaluit, and is the diagnostic imaging referral center for the Baffin region. QGH provides health care services to adults and children on an inpatient/outpatient basis in order to restore health with dignity. Located within the Department of Health and reporting directly to the Manager Diagnostic Imaging, the incumbent works with Ultrasound, Mammography and CT patients and physicians, scheduling and communicating appointment dates and times. As the successful candidate you will coordinate and communicate Ultrasound, Mammography and CT appointments with patients, Emergency department, In-patient ward, Clinics and communities across the Baffin region. You will also support Ultrasound and CT Technologist with administrative work and preparing patients for their scheduled examinations.
To be invited for an interview; you must have completion of Medical Terminology course, excellent oral and written communication skills. A significant computer skills and software knowledge including Meditech experience; must be self-motivated as well as dependable and punctual.
Knowledge of Inuit language, communities, culture, land and Inuit Qaujimajatugangit is an asset.
