Word 2010 Foundation and Intermediate - ONLINE - Kivalliq, Kitikmeot, and Qikiqtaaluk

This course covers the equivalent of two full days of content normally delivered in a classroom, delivered over three weeks online. Live classes using Adobe Connect allow the facilitator to cover content and answer questions and these live classes create a community of learners. Participants complete activities online at their pace, at work or at home. Participants are encouraged to provide practical examples of tasks and documents they require for work which will in turn be developed and submitted as course assignments.

Nunavut History and Governance

This course presents the high points in Nunavut’s incredible history; this course is a primer in Nunavut governance and culture, with strong emphasis on the Nunavut Land Claim Agreement (NLCA). Ideal for all GN employees, it enables participants to better understand the structure of the Government of Nunavut, as well as the functions of its departments and the roles of the numerous boards, agencies, and other organizations created under the NLCA.

Emerging Leaders’ Series

The Government of Nunavut (GN) has introduced a program to build and sustain leadership capacity. The Hivuliqtikhanut Program is a leadership development program that provides modular, classroom-based learning for three distinct levels (series): emerging leaders, supervisors and senior managers. The leadership development program is offered to all GN departments and territorial corporations.
