Priority Hiring Policy

Cabinet recently approved the continuation of the Priority Hiring Policy.

The Priority Hiring Policy demonstrates the Government of Nunavut’s commitment to fulfilling Article 23 of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement by ensuring that qualified beneficiaries receive priority consideration before all other applicants during the recruitment and selection process.

This policy applies to all job competitions within departments of the Government of Nunavut and public agencies listed in Schedules A & B of the Financial Administration Act.
