The Honourable Fred Schell
Minister of Human Resources

Fred Schell was elected on November 3, 2008, to represent the constituency of South Baffin in the 3rd Legislative Assembly of Nunavut. The constituency includes the communities of Cape Dorset and Kimmirut.

Prior to being elected to the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Schell served as the Mayor of Cape Dorset. Mr. Schell has held various positions in the construction and airline industry.

Mr. Schell was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He and his partner, Ezevallu Qatsiya, have a daughter; Hailey Eva Qatsiya. The Schell family enjoys hunting, fishing and travelling.
