Food recall on Quaker Harvest, Spitz and CLIF Bar products

The Department of Health is warning about a food recall on Quaker Harvest brand quinoa granola bars, Spitz brand sunflower kernels, and CLIF Bar brand Sierra Trail Mix Energy Bar due to possible contamination with the bacteria Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria symptoms include vomiting, nausea, fever, muscle aches, severe headaches and neck stiffness. Most people do not need to see a health care provider because they get better quickly. But high risk groups, like pregnant women, Elders and people with weakened immune systems, should see a health care provider if they have these symptoms.

All recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.
