Call for members for the Nunavut Liquor Licensing Board

The minister of finance is looking for members to serve on the Nunavut Liquor Licensing Board (NLLB).

The NLLB plays an important role in Nunavut’s liquor management system by issuing liquor licences and taking steps to ensure licence holders operate within the Liquor Act. The board reports and provides advice to the minister of finance on matters of policy, legislation and administration relating to the responsible sale, distribution and consumption of alcohol.

The board normally holds four, two to three day meetings each year. No specific training or knowledge is required; members will receive honoraria for their services.

For more information, please contact Annie Joannie at nllb@gov.nu.ca or by phone at 975-5803. If you are interested, please submit a short cover letter, resumé and the names of three references, by fax at 867-975-5805 or by email at nllb@gov.nu.ca.

Deadline for submissions is June 30, 2017.
